Tapestry becomes new Charity of the Year for Pinney Talfourd
Pinney Talfourd is an award winning law firm in Havering and Brentwood offering the full range of services for individuals and businesses. Their staff do a huge amount of voluntary work for charity and have already agreed to a number of fundraising activities including wills week, quiz nights, dress down days, curry nights and half marathons to help raise money for us. Our Fundraising Team and Pinney Talfourd’s Charity Committee will be busy making plans throughout May to arrange fundraising events throughout the upcoming year to help us hit our target.
This year we are looking to raise around £90,000.00 to create a Sensory Garden at HOPWA House and improve the services on offer within the Borough for individuals living with dementia.
These innovative and unique services will include the establishment of the first Sensory Rooms for people living with dementia in the Borough. We aim to provide services for our clients that enable them to remain integrated in society and take part in stimulating, physical and mentally beneficial activities in an enjoyable, supportive and safe environment.
We will also be launching new respite opportunities for carers that offer support and advice, whilst at the same time, provide opportunities for interaction with their peers.
Tapestry’s aim is to ensure that older individuals and those living with dementia have the opportunity to live healthy, connected and fulfilled lives for as long as possible in their own homes. These new facilities will enable us to do this better, for longer and for more people.
Our first joint fundraising event with Pinney Talfourd will be taking place during Dementia Awareness week 21st – 25th of May. Pinney Talfourd’s Wills Department have offered to write wills for our clients and instead of paying a fee they are asking clients to make a donation to Tapestry.
Booking is required for this service, with a minimum donation of £95 for a Single Will and £150 for a pair of Mirror Wills.
