On the 21 September 2021, World Alzheimers Day, Havering charity Tapestry turned its HuBs in Hornchurch and Harold Hill all blue. All part of the Light up London campaign to make the city dementia friendly, Tapestry lit up the day centres, care workers and even the cake with the colour blue.

London is an inclusive and compassionate city and by lighting up blue at Tapestry we demonstrated our support for people affected by dementia and their families. The pandemic has been hard on people with dementia and by lighting up the blues can be blown away. #LightUpLondon

Customers at Paines Brook Court HuB in Harold Hill sign up to a dementia friendly London with "blue hands".
