Our purpose

What's in a name?

The first thing people ask us is 'why are you called Tapestry?'.  The meaning behind our brand is actually very simple.  We look at the services we offer, our clients, their carers and extended support system as single strands of thread and when you weave them together they create a complete Tapestry of care.

Our Purpose

Tapestry is an innovative charity and ‘not for profit’ social business working to provide appropriate, personalised and affordable care and support for adults and older people in the local community.  We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a healthy and connected life regardless of age or ability and our services reflect this vision.

Tapestry’s primary focus is the delivery of preventative care and support to our customers in their homes and in our community hub’s.  We pride ourselves at keeping the people we care for at the heart of everything we do and creating a personalised service that enables them to keep their independence and live a healthy and connected life.

“My life has been a tapestry of rich and royal hue, an everlasting vision on the ever changing view”

New Food Delivery Service - Tapestry's Food Delivery Service

Tapestry established a new food delivery service in April 2020 to support older and disabled adults in Havering during the lockdown. The healthy hot meals, made fresh daily by our chefs are delivered to the homes of isolated people, which are in great demand. During that time Tapestry has cooked and delivered over 15,000 meals, and this service continues today.
